Seen fan c.m.'s crap out a lot, you have to lap joint the new uncomparable into the existing wiring as the engineers in their infinite sapience didn't put in an in-line connector, ass-clowns!

This is what it looked like yesterday. I haven't cleared the fault yet; known as the stealership today; wants 200 to diagnose.

Update: So, I did a visual review tonight; turns out entirely the right-handed sports fan comes on; the left winnow doesn't budge. I went for a 40 mins aim and checked again....far left winnow still non rotating. I am non sure of the sequence by which either is powered operating room which is which (according to the Bentley service blue-collar, unitary is high speed and are both controlled by diverse relay race - J101 and J26.) Any cardinal care to chime in?

    1999 A6 2.8l 30V:
My fan is running wholly the fourth dimension; replaced coolant fan thermo switch, no convert. Do NOT have a code in VAGcom.
Found the J293 module (under driver side frame rail, the whole way in the front). No obvious to ME how to off it. Tips?

Before blindly buying a surrogate, i would like to first check the module. Any links how to test the modules? Values to measure?

Installed another J293 module. Same resolution. Fan squirting on eminent speed with cold engine.
VAGcom output test does not influence the continual fan (keeps spouting).

    I am at a loss.

    Any suggestions?

Check the sports fan to see if it's mischievous - you can put 12V direct from the battery on it. If IT doesn't.t play, then it's dead and you demand to put back it.
